Water will be off at Henney and 10th west to Optimist Park to repair a main break. Water will be restored in 4 - 6 hours. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
We have turned off water to complete a repair in the Choctaw Trails. This is impacting service all the way up to NE 36th. We expect the repairs to be completed within 4 hours.
The Fire Department phone system is down. Today is a burn day. Due to the inability to contact us by phone for a permit, we will grant permission for today only as long as citizens stay within the guidelines for outdoor burning.

During the August 15th Council Meeting, the City of Choctaw will officially declare September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The city would like to honor the incredible strength of children who are fighting or have fought childhood cancer. Itâs $25.00 to register your alarm and no fee for those 62 years and older. Alarm permits are not transferable for changes in ownership or leases. The Choctaw Round Up Club is having a rodeo August 11th and 12th at 13700 NE 36th Choctaw, OK 73020. Gates open at 3:30pm, Pre-rodeo events begin at 6pm, and the rodeo begins at 8pm.

The city recognized Allison Yarbrough and Kelli Hosford for their dedication and support throughout the Choctaw-Nicoma Park Schools and the City of Choctaw.
Mrs. Yarbrough volunteers her time to numerous organizations in and around the City of Choctaw. She is an active member of the Choctaw Elementary PTO and serves on the Junior Service League raising well over $30,000 for the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School programs.
Mrs. Hosford oversees the Individualized Education Programs of over 1,400 differently abled Choctaw-Nicoma Park students and was critical in working with the special education department in establishing a district wide Special Education Olympics. Mrs. Hosford has worked with stakeholders to create two new critical programs, Project Search Program and the Bridges Program.
