Today is "Colter Eaton Day."
On September 27th, the city of Choctaw remembers and celebrates the enduring spirit of Colter Eaton. At the age of 3, Colter faced the daunting diagnosis of Neuroblastoma, embarking on a journey filled with unimaginable challenges that demanded boundless strength and resilience. For 24 months, Colter waged a courageous battle, his indomitable spirit serving as a beacon of inspiration to all who knew him. Throughout this challenging journey, his family displayed incredible determination, leaving no stone unturned in their relentless efforts to save him, while the community provided steadfast support. In February of 2002, Colter found peace within the gates of heaven, leaving a profound impact despite his young age.
Today, we honor Colter's enduring legacy through "Colter's Toy Box," a foundation created by his family and their dedicated friends. This foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the needs of cancer patients at Oklahoma Children's Hospital.
Colter's memory lives on, and his legacy continues to bring hope and comfort to those in need. â¤ï¸ #ColterEatonDay #LegacyOfLove #ChildhoodCancerAwareness

September 25th is Angela Allen day!
Today, we celebrate the enduring spirit of Angela Lee Allen. Born on March 25th, 1970, Angela passed away on her 7th birthday, March 25th, 1977.
In the 1970s, when Angela was diagnosed with brain cancer, the resources and research funds available for families dealing with childhood cancer were far scarcer than what we have today. Angela's family and community embodied the true essence of unwavering love and determination. They tirelessly cared for her, fought with unyielding resolve to save her, and never wavered in their faith, even in the face of the most formidable challenges. During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we honor Angela and her family. We acknowledge the progress that has been made in treating childhood cancer, but also recognize the long road ahead in the fight for a cure.
