
Water Outage Notice – Steel Street Area
Water service will be temporarily shut off today in the area of Steel Street for approximately 2 to 4 hours to allow for a fire hydrant leak repair.

Tree Removal and Road Closure on Harper Road
Beginning Tuesday, June 24, the Public Works Department will begin preparing for the upcoming Harper Road reconstruction by removing trees along the roadway. Harper Road will be closed from Red Vine to NE 10th Street daily from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM for approximately 5 to 7 business days.
Access to Choctaw Church of the Nazarene will remain available to church members via NE 10th Street. However, do not attempt to use the church as a detour, as all Harper Street entrances will be blocked and through traffic will not be permitted.
Please avoid this area if possible.

There is currently a water outage affecting the area around Effie and Norton due to necessary water line repairs.
Estimated restoration time: 2–4 hours.
We appreciate your patience as crews work to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

Water Outage Update – Old Town/Downtown Area
A contractor has accidentally hit a water line in the Old Town/Downtown area. Crews are currently on-site working to make repairs.
Water service is expected to be restored within the next few hours.

City offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. City offices will reopen on Friday, June 20, for regular business hours: 7:30–11:30 AM.


Waste Connections Update
Waste Connections was unable to service Steele Dr today due to ongoing road construction. They will attempt to return and complete service tomorrow.

Water service will be shut off for maintenance and repairs for the remainder of the business day in the area between Grand Ave. and Third St., and Harper St. and Hawkins Ave.

There is a road washout on 36th Street between Henney and Hiwassee. Barricades have been placed to prevent vehicles from entering the affected area.
This location falls within Oklahoma City limits, and the appropriate authorities have been notified.

Veterans can now meet with Veterans Affairs every Friday from 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the Choctaw Police Station for resources, guidance, and support.
