City crews will be painting this month!
Exciting news for Choctaw! The City of Choctaw submitted 5 applications to the Paint Oklahoma Beautiful program this year, and all 5 were awarded! Thanks to HIS Paints and the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Program, we’re giving a fresh coat of paint to the Senior Center, City Hall, the Development Services Building, the Police Station, and the Police Station garage.
The City received 33 five-gallon buckets of paint and a power washer! All work must be completed by September 30th. These projects will be entered into a "Before/After" contest with a public vote. The top three will be reviewed by the paint sponsor, with cash prizes for the winners:
🏆 1st Place: $1,000
🥈 2nd Place: $750
🥉 3rd Place: $500
Winners will be announced at the Environmental Excellence Celebration, with recognized organizations and groups invited. This month, we’re painting Choctaw Beautiful! A huge thank you to #KeepOklahomaBeautiful and our hardworking public works staff who will be busy all month!
