March 23rd- Easter Scramble

April 20th- Color Run- Choctaw High School Student Council - Sponsored Event

The Choctaw High School Student Council is hosting a Color Run at Choctaw Creek Park on April 20th, supporting their philanthropic initiative, GOLD RUSH. Proceeds benefit CALM WATERS, an organization that provides free grief counseling to local children and families. This inclusive event welcomes everyone- fostering community cohesion and well-being while creating a beneficial influence. Click here for registration

April 27th - Arbor Day

Join us in celebrating Arbor Day in Choctaw! Mark your calendars for April 27th from 11am to 2pm at Choctaw Creek Park as we come together to celebrate the beauty and importance of trees! Arbor Day is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate nature and give back to our community. We invite the community to volunteer and join us in planting trees throughout the park. Whether you're a seasoned green thumb or just looking to lend a helping hand, your participation is invaluable in making Choctaw even greener and more vibrant. Let's make a difference together! May 3rd- Friday Nights in the Park (Begins)

Friday Nights in the Park is a farmers market event that takes place every Friday from May 3rd to September 27th. It offers a lively atmosphere where local farmers, artisans, and food vendors gather to showcase their products. Patrons can enjoy a diverse range of fresh produce, handmade crafts, delicious food, and live entertainment. Event Page

June 7th- Chamber Auction- The Choctaw Area Chamber of Commerce- Sponsored Event

The Chamber auction is a fundraising event aimed at supporting the organization's initiatives and activities. Attendees can participate in live and silent auctions, enjoy local food, and engage in networking opportunities while contributing to the chamber's ongoing efforts to promote business growth and community development. June 15th- Summer Night in the Park

Movie night in the park. Food, vendors and fun.

July 4th- Independence Day Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day at Choctaw Creek Park! Join us for a spectacular event featuring fireworks and an array of lively booths. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the festive atmosphere, indulge in delicious food, explore the various vendors, and witness a dazzling firework display that will light up the night sky. August 24th- Old Timers Day 2024 "WELCOME BACK"

Old Timer's Day is making a comeback to Choctaw. This event celebrates the city's founding on August 28, 1893. Choctaw is the oldest chartered city in Oklahoma and is named after the Choctaw Coal and Railway Company. Events include a parade on Friday, August 23rd at 6:30 PM. On Saturday, August 24th in Choctaw Creek Park, there will be music, activities, and vendors all day, culminating in an evening dance at the Large Pavilion that starts at 8 PM. Event Page

September 2nd- Classic Car Show- Sponsored Event

Rev up your engines and head to Choctaw Creek Park for a spectacular Car Show! This exciting event brings together car enthusiasts of all ages to admire a stunning display of classic cars, vintage vehicles, and sleek modern automobiles.

September 6th- Pepper Festival- Sponsored Event

September 14th- Annual Fishing Derby

Calling all young anglers! Don't miss the Annual Fishing Derby for Kids at Ten Acre Lake Park! This exciting event invites children of all skill levels to cast their lines and reel in the fun. With plenty of fish stocked in the lake, participants have a great chance of landing a catch. Event Page

October 5th- BBQ Festival- The Choctaw Area Chamber of Commerce - Sponsored Event

Call for Vendors:

The City of Choctaw is seeking vendors for city-hosted Special Events, Festivals, and the Farmers Market! There is no fee for vendor applications, which are valid from January 1 to December 31, with spaces available for just $15 per event or festival. We’re looking for a variety of vendors, including crafts, antiques/vintage items, boutique products, farmers market goods, food and liquor trucks, and more. Vendors must have a sales tax permit with the state of Oklahoma.

The City of Choctaw is proud to host special events for the community and is adding new and expanded events each year. Attendance ranges from 500 for smaller events to 2,500 for larger festivals. We’re excited to invite vendors of all kinds to help make our festivals and events the best in the state.
