The Haunted Hollow at Choctaw Creek Park
Get ready for a spooktacular time at the big pavilion at Choctaw Creek Park! Haunted Hollow will feature ghoulishly great food, vendors, candy, games, contests, activities and much more. It's the perfect event for families and kids looking for Halloween fun! Stay tuned for more details soon!

The Haunted Trails at Choctaw Creek Park

The Choctaw Volunteer Firefighters Association is bringing back the Super Scary Haunted Trails this year. This is a spine-chilling experience designed for teens and adults! Step into the darkness and face your worst nightmares. This event is not for the faint of heart—once you enter, there’s no turning back. Will you survive the terror that awaits?

November 11- Veteran's Day Block Party- Sponsored Event

Join us in honoring and expressing gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our nation at the Veterans Memorial on Veterans Day. This commemorative event pays tribute to our veterans, showcasing their sacrifices and celebrating their service.

December 14th- Christmas in the Park

Experience the magic and joy of the holiday season at Choctaw Creek Park's "Christmas in the Park" event! With activities for all ages, holiday-themed games, and delicious treats, Christmas in the Park at Choctaw Creek is the perfect way to create cherished memories and embrace the spirit of the season.

2025 Events

Introducing First Fridays at Choctaw Creek Park, happening from April to September! Join us on the first Friday of every month from 6-9 PM for a fun-filled themed evening. First Fridays is a separate event that will be held at the same time as the Friday Nights in the Park Farmers Market. The first Friday events will take place in the greenspace behind Farmers Market Lane. These themed nights will feature extended hours, more vendors, live music, and exciting activities, adding even more energy and enjoyment to your Friday night experience!

April 4th- Herb and Garden Night- First Fridays at Choctaw Creek Park

Herb and Garden night

Join us for an evening celebrating all things herb and garden! From 6-9 PM, explore vendors offering a variety of plants and flowers, as well as foliage-inspired art, jewelry, soap, tea, infused oils, vinegars, and more. Enjoy delicious food from local food trucks and groove to live music from a band. (No Farmers Market this evening, Farmer's Market starts in May)

April 12th - Easter Scramble

This is a fun-filled event, kids can search for hidden eggs as well as participate in other fun activities. It takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Choctaw Creek Park, offering an enjoyable experience for children and families to celebrate Easter together.

April 25th - Arbor Day

Join us in celebrating Arbor Day in Choctaw! Mark your calendars for April 27th from 11am to 2pm at Choctaw Creek Park as we come together to celebrate the beauty and importance of trees! Arbor Day is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate nature and give back to our community. We invite the community to volunteer and join us in planting trees throughout the park. Whether you're a seasoned green thumb or just looking to lend a helping hand, your participation is invaluable in making Choctaw even greener and more vibrant. Let's make a difference together! May 2nd-Nerd Night- First Fridays at Choctaw Creek Park

Nerd Night

This mini Comicon-inspired event is a must-attend for fans of sci-fi, pop culture, gaming, comics, and more! It’s designed for all ages, so bring the whole family for an evening packed with fun!

Dress up in your favorite cosplay, browse booths showcasing unique merchandise, collectibles, and artisan crafts from local creators, and participate in exciting games. Plus, savor delicious food and drinks from local vendors!

This event is being held in conjunction with the Friday Nights in the Park Farmers Market.

May 10th- Annual Fishing Derby

Calling all young anglers! Don't miss the Annual Fishing Derby for Kids at Ten Acre Lake Park! This exciting event invites children of all skill levels to cast their lines and reel in the fun. With plenty of fish stocked in the lake, participants have a great chance of landing a catch.

June 6th - Wildlife Night- First Fridays at Choctaw Creek Park

This evening will celebrate wildlife—hunting, fishing, conservation, and outdoor recreation. This family-friendly event will offer information, education, and activities for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Join us for vendor booths, delicious food vendors, and a variety of engaging experiences!

July 4th- Independence Day Celebration

This event celebrates the city's founding. Choctaw is the oldest chartered city in Oklahoma and is named after the Choctaw Coal and Railway Company. Events include a parade and a festival. 2025 information coming soon.

Special Events Vendor Information

Special Event Vendor application (fillable PDF)

The City of Choctaw is seeking vendors for city-hosted Special Events, Festivals, and the Farmers Market! There is no fee for vendor applications, which are valid from January 1 to December 31, with spaces available for just $15 per event or festival. We’re looking for a variety of vendors, including crafts, antiques/vintage items, boutique products, farmers market goods, food and liquor trucks, and more. Vendors must have a sales tax permit with the state of Oklahoma.

The City of Choctaw is proud to host special events for the community and is adding new and expanded events each year. Attendance ranges from 500 for smaller events to 2,500 for larger festivals. We’re excited to invite vendors of all kinds to help make our festivals and events the best in the state.
