Special Election Set for August 25
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, voters will have the opportunity to decide on a ¾-cent sales tax that would be in place for 20 years.
If approved, the sales tax would provide funding for several important community projects, including:
A new Police Station
A new Recreation Center (YMCA)
Upgrades to Fire Station #1
New fire apparatus and equipment
These projects are intended to address current and future community needs by improving public safety facilities and expanding recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.
A series of community information meetings has been scheduled, and we encourage all residents to attend to learn more about the proposed ¾-cent sales tax and ask questions before the August 25 Special Election.
