New Residents

Welcome to the City of Choctaw, where the daily comforts of small town rural lifestyle meet the conveniences of a growing community with a bustling economy. With plenty of local recreational areas, businesses to suit all of your commerce needs, and a community that shares the “family first” lifestyle focus, it’s clear why Choctaw continues to grow and attract new families and businesses.

CITY HALL & SERVICES

City Hall should be one of your first stops when moving to Choctaw. At City Hall, you can fill out the Utility Contract (PDF) to set up your water, sewer and trash service.  For more information, visit the Utilities page. You can also pick up any permits you might need for alarms, fences, storm shelters, a yard sale, or any other changes requiring a permit. Visit our Permits page for more information.

RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

For information about the recreational opportunities in Choctaw, visit our Parks and Recreation page or our Special Events page. If you have school age children, find out more about the local school district at the Choctaw-Nicoma Park Schools website.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Would you like to become more involved in the Choctaw community? Consider applying for a position on one of our Councils or Boards. We are also always looking for volunteers to help out with our seasonal events.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Choctaw also offers several community programs through the Metropolitan Public Library, the Choctaw Senior Citizens Center, and Eastern Oklahoma County Vo-Tech.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Finally, the Choctaw Chamber of Commerce is another excellent resource for learning more about Choctaw. Call the Chamber of Commerce at 405-390-3303, or stop by for community maps, guidebooks, and other information at our office at 2437 Main Street.
