Fire Prevention, Safety & Training

Your Choctaw Fire Department loves teaching and educating on fire prevention, safety and safe fire practices and we teach annually to our schools, our community senior adult groups, scout groups, and tour groups. If you know a group who would like to have a fire prevention, safety and training talk, contact the Fire Department at 405-390-8300.

We can come to your group or you can bring a group to tour the Fire House. Call for more more information.

Choctaw Fire Department conducts an annual fire safety inspection of all the businesses in the city to ensure our citizens are as safe as possible while enjoying all the city has to offer.

Inspections help keep our community safe as well as help keep our ISO (Insurance Services Office) rating as low as possible. This helps everyone in our city with lower insurance rates.

Choctaw Fire Department recognizes fire prevention week (the week that covers October 8th to commemorate the October 8, 1871 Chicago fire that caused devastating damage). We strive to help our citizens be prepared for what to do in the case of an emergency situation.

Of course we also do fire prevention all throughout the year and if you are interested in us coming to share or you coming for a tour of the Fire House please contact the Fire House at 405-390-8300.
