Mayor Allcox with Chief Kelly Marshall, Officer Logan St. Clair, Officer Stephen Freeman and Officer Colten Lobb.

Officer Logan St. Clair: On November 27th, 2022, Officer Logan St. Clair was working an overtime traffic safety grant project when he heard dispatch start an ambulance to our local Wal-Mart on a shopper that was unresponsive.  Officer St. Clair responded and started CPR; another officer brought the department AED which administered one shock.  Officer St. Clair continued CPR until the Choctaw Fire Department then arrived on scene and began care of the patient.

Officer Stephen Freeman: On January 28th, 2023, Officer Stephen Freeman responded to a residence on an attempted suicide.  Upon arrival Officer Freeman found a male actively attempting to hang himself with a belt.  After several long moments of struggling with the male, Officer Freeman was able to remove the belt and place him on the ground.  The male continued to fight officer Freeman until help arrived and he was able to be placed into custody to receive mental health help.

Officer Colten Lobb: On July 4th, 2023, Officers were dispatched to our Wal-Mart on a shooting.  It was learned once on scene that a 14-year-old had accidentally shot his brother in the chest.  Officer Colten Lobb was one of the first officers to arrive.  Upon assessing the injuries, Officer Lobb applied a chest seal to the entrance and exit wounds on the 12-year-old.  Officer Lobb is a trained EMT; Chief Marshall firmly believes had Officer Lobb not had the knowledge and equipment provided; the 12-year-old would have had a fatal outcome.
